Housing
Housing is comfortable and collegial. All students, along with some faculty and all administrative staff, will live together in an air-conditioned dorm located in the heart of the campus, close to the library and classrooms. Halls of the dorm are, of course, separated by gender. The dorm has ample lounge and work space and laundry facilities. Johnson Residence Hall will house the workshop students and staff. Read more about Johnson Hall here.

Food
Students can choose from salad bar, hot entrees, and the grill. The cost of meals is included in the tuition, and covers two meals a day (lunch and dinner), all you can eat (though many hungry high school students do end up ordering evening pizzas at their own expense). Other fast items are also available on campus, a la carte weekdays in the summer.

Recreation
There are outdoor basketball and volleyball courts directly behind the residence hall. Large fields on the quadrangle directly in front of the residence hall are perfect for ultimate frisbee or throwing a football. Students should bring necessary equipment to participate in these activities if they so wish. In addition to daily recreation opportunities, several special events are planned and are included in the tuition cost. See “Student Life” page for further description. These activities culminate with an end-of-workshop banquet for the students, faculty, and staff.

Campus Services
The campus itself has a number of services available: post office, sundry shop, barber shop, and laundry facilities. Should the student need to use an off-campus service, the workshop staff will help them.

Facilities
The Wake Forest Debate Team facilities are perhaps the finest in the nation. With in-house photocopying, computing, and data terminals for index access, seminar rooms and classrooms, all located less than a block from the dorm and across the quad from the cafeteria and library, debaters find that their work is facilitated and instruction takes place in a scholarly environment.

Religion
The workshops will make arrangements and provide transportation for any students wishing to attend any religious services in Winston-Salem.

Planet Debate Subscription!
One additional, unique service provided by the Wake Forest Workshops is a Planet Debate Package for use the entire debate season following the workshops. Access is available through a standard Gold Subscription -- a $319 value. This includes access to Planet Debate's 59,000+ card database, thousands of research links and bibliographies, as well many downloads.
